Prof. David Lin

David teaches professional responsibility and technology ethics at a law school, and has spent the last several years at the intersection the profession is now forced to care about: what Model Rules 1.1, 1.6, and 5.3 actually require of a lawyer using AI.

On the council he is the standing objection. Every claim on the Trust Center crossed his desk; the SOC 2 phrasing, the privilege framing, and the refusal to promise what no vendor honestly can are his fingerprints.

His rule for the company: write every sentence as if a state bar disciplinary counsel will read it, because eventually one will.
